Airtek designs and certifies all safety net systems in full compliance with BS EN 1263 and BS 8411 standards. We maintain a comprehensive inventory of safety netting in various sizes to accommodate a wide range of projects.
All of our safety netting is inspected in accordance with BS 8411 and BSEN 1263, The British Standards for Safety Nets. This standard provides guidance on the installation, use, maintenance, and inspection of safety netting systems. BS 8411 works alongside BS EN 1263, which specifies the technical requirements for safety nets, including testing, performance, and dimensions. Together, these standards ensure that safety nets are safe, reliable, and properly maintained throughout their service life.
Safety netting serves as a collective fall protection system for those working at heights and is the recommended solution by the HSE over the use of safety harnesses and running lines. Installed below steelwork, safety netting enhances worker mobility while providing complete protection above the netted area. Additionally, it allows uninterrupted work for other trades operating below the netting.
All of our installers are FASET Qualified Safety Net Installers and hold the relevant FASET Blue Installer CSCS Card. Safety nets are installed in accordance with BS EN 1263, BS 8411, and FASET Guidelines and Recommendations, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance in every installation.
